Akaria Expands Team To Scale Investment Into NCS In 2023

Akaria Natural Capital Pte Ltd. an impact-first fund management company investing at scale in natural climate solutions across Southeast Asia, begins 2023 with four new hires following its launch last year.


The new starters bring demonstrated expertise and experience from across the impact investment landscape including Ch’ng Seow Pheng, Chief Operating Officer; John Bradley, Investment Director; Ashleigh Mason, Investment Associate; and Wu Zheng Feng, Investment Associate.


COO Ch’ng Seow Pheng has over 20 years experience in senior leadership positions with Singaporean asset management firms including 16 years as COO of Blackhorse Asset Management and 5 years as COO of Makrana Capital Management.


Investment Director John Bradley began his career with Deutsche Bank in London, then CDC Group (now known as BII) before moving to Singapore with MUFG Bank. He has over 10 years of experience across a multitude of sectors in private investments and investment banking across Asia, Europe, and Africa.


Investment Associate Ashleigh Mason was part of the investor relations teams at various Real Estate and Infrastructure focused firms including Alpha Real Capital and BlackRock Real Assets based out of London, U.K. She is originally from Toronto, Canada where she began her career with CIBC working with both institutional and high net worth investors in various client servicing roles.


Investment Associate Wu Zheng Feng joined Akaria with experience in real assets investment firms in both Singapore and London, where he was working on allocating and deploying capital into sustainable infrastructure investments to tackle the climate change, before pivoting to natural climate solutions with Akaria.
